Volkskrant Magazine, in the weekend edition of Dutch news paper de Volkskrant did a photo special of images from the photobook De Mooiste 50 meter Buitenbaden van Nederland – 50 meter Outdoor Pools in the Netherlands.

We were extremely happy getting featured in one of the best read Dutch news papers – with no less than 9 pages – published on the day of the book launch!
And all with a very fine photo selection by photo editor Heike Gülker and an editorial by John Schoorl. With a nice walk down memory lane piece, a feeling we shared visiting the pools.

As photographer, dealing with image selections and painstakingly composing and re-composing visual stories, I am always curious what other image editors do with the works.
The initial broad selection was promising. The final result just gorgeous. Especially the use of the wide, overview shots and the spreads (what photographer does not like a good spread).
