Visual Diary #007 – A double double
The IDFA Daily of the International Documentary Film Festival Amsterdam features a double interview spread accompanied with a double portrait. Two meetings were incidentally scheduled on the same time, so with colleague photographer Felix Kalkman we incorporated the two double portraits into each other.

Impression of the shoot, with on top Felix's picture and mine below.
With many thanks to the filmmakers Victor Kossakovsky, Alina Rudnitskaya, Steve James and Mandy Chang, guests of the festival and in the picture(s).

Tearsheet: the new Folia Magazine
Made it to the new Folia Magazine with a spread of one of Amsterdam most beautiful sights; the IJ river. The Folia Magazine, for the University of Amsterdam, just got merged with Hogeschool van Amsterdam’s Havana and had a neat, fresh redesign. In print and online with FoliaWeb.nl. I really like the prominent use of imagery in this new design.

Visual Diary #005 – Nederlands Film Festival 2011
After quite a lot red carpet sessions, it was time for a different approach. Instead of choosing a fixed position along the carpet, i did chase the attendees in the second line, taking pictures over fellow photographers shoulders. Their hands and camera’s -still in the frame- adds nicely up to the common hectic during such a ceremony.
